Mother

Mother is an interactive dance work developed around posthuman questions concerning the body, mediation and the instability of the human as the sole centre of artistic action.

About the work

The dancer enters an audiovisual system in which sound, movement and technological behaviour continuously affect the conditions of performance. The technological environment is not a passive instrument: it actively shapes choices, timing and attention.

Live movement encounters pre-recorded audiovisual material, radio broadcasts and computational intervention, producing a shifting relation between body, media and system.
